Re: Is The 3ds Worth Buying
I might get it, but only if they get more then the two games I'm interested in. A Kingdom Hearts game (can't remember the title) and Paper Mario. Definitely not right now though.

Re: Is The 3ds Worth Buying
I found two more games that are worth it. Tales of the Abyss and Sonic Generations (saw it in the latest Nintendo Power Magazine, modern Sonic's stages are like Sonic Rush and DS Sonic Colors).

Tales of the Abyss is a remake of a PS2 game.

Re: Is The 3ds Worth Buying
I will never understand why OoT 3DS is so popular, but its probably because it was not a part of my childhood. I got the original just before we sold the N64 stuff I had, and I never really played it. So I don't see the appeal.

Re: Is The 3ds Worth Buying
I voted "I don't know."
There should be an option labeled "Maybe later on" as I will probably get one once more games I like come out for it.

Well with OOT3D you're getting an enhanced version with lots of secrets and fun glitches.Chaos_Overlord wrote:I will never understand why OoT 3DS is so popular, but its probably because it was not a part of my childhood. Meh... I have the original (ok not really, its on my Legend of Zelda Collection for gamecube) so I don't need another.

Heh, same here. It's something for the 3DS at least, so that's good.Chaos_Overlord wrote:Meh... I have the original (ok not really, its on my Legend of Zelda Collection for gamecube) so I don't need another.

I still don't have OoT. Played it, liked it, but kinda lost interest in it (as most of my games once I got older).

If there is anything I would get OoT 3D for, it would be master Quest, but that's it.

Yes, the cows in the giant fish deity would be lulz-worthy.Chaos_Overlord wrote:If there is anything I would get OoT 3D for, it would be master Quest, but that's it.

You're asking if a device whose financial security is based solely off of a non-working gimmick and rehashed upon rehashed remakes, then my answer is no.

Re: Is The 3ds Worth Buying
The gimmick does seem to work though, and if the Star Wars rerereleases are good, then 3D may be promoted from fad status to permanent edition.Hushimo wrote:You're asking if a device whose financial security is based solely off of a non-working gimmick and rehashed upon rehashed remakes, then my answer is no.

Re: Is The 3ds Worth Buying
Nintendo does seem to rely on gimmicks, doesn't it? The Wii is a prime example. If I get this, it won't be for the 3D (I saw it and that pretty much hurts my eyes, messes with them). If anything, I'll get it for game selection, but right now it's not worth it.

Yeah, it is worth buying.
It's 3D, and it looks nice.
It's a bargain...

Re: Is The 3ds Worth Buying
I have one since the first day. When I saw a week later 3ds + 1 game for 50eur lesser I though *darn* but it was still worth it.
The 2nd thing I said and am still saying *darn* to is the fact that there are currently very lame games. (ok there's zelda but we played that already!) I have monkey ball and got it done in a day!
I was patiencently waiting untill I heard that kid icarus came later (*darn*) and sonic generations "late 2011" (*Darn*) But yes it was still worth it! xD

Re: Is The 3ds Worth Buying
Yeah, but in my opinion the DS didn't have a strong start either, and it looks like it really ruled the roost. So the 3DS will show epic levels soon.

I think the 3DS will make it.
Well I don't have any doubt that Nintendo will soon come out with several more new quality titles for the 3DS and rule the handheld market. The question for me since I have prescription glasses is will it work for people like me? And no, I don't wear contacts.
There are two different 3D Nintendo technologies that did not work for me in the past...The Virtual Boy and a 3D mode with glasses for the original NES (thinking of Rad Racer in particular). They just didn't work with my glasses.
