So guys, I've got this link in my Facebook account, assuming that nobody cares if its not okay for me to open up Facebook.
Sonic Adventure 2 and Nights into Dreams are now released HD. Now available on PSN. They are both priced at the price of "$9.99/£6.49/€7.99" as the link says. For either games you get a free PS3 theme for the respective game.
On the 5th of this October, it becomes live on XBLA, both for the price of 800 MS points. Both versions come with achievements.
For Sonic Adventure 2, there is a "Battle Mode" DLC, for the prices of "$3.00/£1.99/€2.49/AU$4.25/240MSPs" which includes new maps and characters from the GameCube version of SA2.
Sadly for me, a full time PC gamer, and for others, the PC releases of both will be coming as a digital download in the coming months. But at least we know we, PC gamers, will have both games at last instead of depending on the DC emulator, and play through the awesome City Escape.
What do you have to say about glad tidings and other criticism? I'm only saying that all these releases are digital and not boxed, sadly. But who cares now? Both Sonic 4 episodes aren't boxed and we enjoy them.
Oh and I forgot to add the source link:

Re: SA2 & NiGHTS into Dreams are released HD
Hell yes! This came earlier than expected. I am super excited for this (me being a 360 player). I hope it supports XBOX LIVE online games.
I thought this thing would be a gift for 2013, but boy am I wrong. However, its not me that will get to play SA2 early, cause I have neither a PS3 or an X360.
I was expecting summer of 2013 as well, but it's even better that it's coming early. Any details on the changes/revamps they are adding to it?
Just looked on PSN, the SA2 Battle add-on is £3.69, not sure what that will be in USD.
Just the upgrade to HD and a few of the in game icons have been updated. There's no new features.

It technically translates to $6, but we'll see.Azzy wrote:Just looked on PSN, the SA2 Battle add-on is £3.69, not sure what that will be in USD.
I've got it on the Dreamcast and the Gamecube. It being my favorite game, however, I will most likely purchase it on the PS3.
I bought NiGHTS: Into Dreams, and just finished it like an hour ago. It was an awesome experience! I loved it! As for SA2, I am not planning to get it, since I have the Gamecube version already.
BLASPHEMER! One can never have too many copies of SA2!Hyperstreak wrote:I bought NiGHTS: Into Dreams, and just finished it like an hour ago. It was an awesome experience! I loved it! As for SA2, I am not planning to get it, since I have the Gamecube version already.
Hell yes. I'll make sure to get SA2 HD. Metal Harbor in HD!? More Chao raising in HD? Do want!
It's a good buy if your willing to put up with the horrible camera angels. Besides that, enjoy your favorite dude in blue in HD!
Horrible camera angles? Is it any worse than the original somehow? I don't care about the camera, as long as the game is playable.
At some parts it's not playable at all. The camera has gone from bad to worst, in the HD remake. The screen literally shifts into a wall while you either fall or get shot to your death, off screen. Same for multiplayer sadly.
Hopefully, we'll see if Sega cares about this more than S4E1. Or let's see how everything goes on the PC version when it gets available.

I wouldn't be surprised if the PC has better everything lol.
Which seems to be the reason why Sega left this version for a couple more months. Maybe the different approach works, who knows?
I hope they have a patch or update to fix some of the issues in the game.
Hopefully the PC version is released soon. If it hasn't been released already.Shadow122 wrote:I wouldn't be surprised if the PC has better everything lol.
Starting to think I had more fun playing this on the GameCube.
To be honest, I am a bit disappointed in SA2 HD. They did not take their time on this game at all. If you looked at the cutscene with Knuckles and Rouge, you can see that they didn't change it at all. The models were the same as the Dreamcast/Gamecube version. At least I still have my GameCube and Dreamcast (I can use different character skins!). Time to raise more chao.
I can't say much about NiGHTS into Dreams HD since I haven't had the chance to get it yet.
