Judging by the recent rival boss in Generations, Silver does have massive potential as a playable character in the franchise. Look, characters in the franchise don't need to go. They all have potential to be just as fun, if not more fun, than sonic. They just need to have their abilities balanced, and not play a completely different genre, like treasure hunting or mech shooting. Come on, wouldn't you have massive fun breaking the game as a telekinetic hedgehog? Just beef up his abilities to let him fly and manipulate objects at your disposal while going fast. That would be incredibly fun, especially compared to the missed oppurtunity he was in 06.

Yeah, he was my favorite rival boss in that game. I love the end of the boss, when he tries to crush you with the boulder.
