Sonic games have a lot of continuity errors since SA2.
Shadow died, then came back to life.
Sonic had black eyes, then green, but somehow Sonic 4 modernized what should have been a retro Sonic by giving him green eyes. This isn't a traditional and original Sonic classic as it should be. We should have just let it be. Don't fix what isn't broke. Instead, Sonic Team broke the classics alongside the modern games.

Hey, just because I'm a modern fan doesn't mean I don't love the classics too, hah. In fact, 3&Knuckles is still my favorite game. I just really like that picture, concept art is cool.

I'm not disputing this fact.
The fact I'm disputing is how his eyes changed from black to green while Sonic 4 maintains recognition as part of the "original series."

I'm thinking that either A: enough time had passed between 3 and 4 that his eyes had changed color, which is said to of happened in Generations (classic has black, modern has green), or B: his eyes were always supposed to be green, it's just with technological limitations of the time they had to go with black, and Generations keeps it that way to appease the classic fans because they really wanted to make everyone happy in Generations. Just my take on it though.
