This was a bit on an unusual license to use for a pinball machine. I believe this machine was designed by Joe Kaminkow, who also did numerous machines for Data East (many of the same designers at SEGA's pinball division were previously at Data East), and I found it surprisingly fun to play, and it was the first pinball machine ever to have the INSANE 13-ball multiball. There's also a cute animation of Sonic in a space suit during the attract mode on the DMD.
