Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

Yes. That's right folks. Sonic and the Sega Superstars crew are back for some kart racing action. My prayers for a new Sonic Drift have been answered. Even better, it's for ALL CONSOLES. People who don't own a Wii aren't shut out of the kart racing game simply because their beloved HD systems can't play Mario Kart. Oh what a wonderful day. Sonic's back in the kart racing game and I'm happy to see it.

Those are Nintendo fans. Right now we have to deal with Sonic fans complaining because:

1. It's not a sequel to Sonic Riders
2. Silver/Blaze/Omega/Rouge/Fang isn't in it
3. Sonic is in a car

It's all I'm hearing at Sega and it pi$$es me off to no end. Sonic fans should be happy Sega's even willing to release a spinoff like this. Especially on the less profitable consoles (which I will be buying this for).

I must say that looks pretty awesome, maybe even good enough to buy.

The Sonic is in a Car part is happening at a rapid passe right now.

There's really no possible way this couldn't be a spin-off. That just plum wouldn't make sense to me.

I just hope the gizmos Eggman uses in the trailers will actually be available this time. I was really disappointed that I didn't get to use his Octo-racket in SST.

I think this game is going to be awesome. I know Sonic doesn't need to be in a car because he can already run at the speed of sound but it still looks awesome.

One thing I'm wondering... I know it's made by the same people who made sega superstar tennis, but is there any chance it'll use the hedgehog engine you think?

EDIT: I think it'd be epic with the hedgehog engine to make the graphics look as good as they did in unleashed and be able to portray speed better, but I did forget some don't own a Xbox360 or PS3, and that'd take away a big chunk of potential buyers and give a big "FU" to others, so... meh. I hate you Nintendo, you lazy mofoes and your slightly upgraded gamecube...

I don't see why you would. The Wii is quite good in my opinion. I've gotten some really fun games, I get to play my old GameCube games, and I get to see what's going on in the real world. If anyone is to blame, it's Sega for not doing anything for the Sonic fans who could only afford a Wii or lower.

I'll be getting it for my 360. Simply because that system needs more games for it in my house.

It sn't really debatable at all. It's a SEGA Allstars/Superstars title, and the SEGA characters outnumber the Sonic Characters. Sonic is in the name to add to sales, like SOA did with SUGC.

It's not running on the Hedgehog Engine, and it's ade by Sumo Digital, who developed SST and OutRun Online Arcade.
