Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver

You heard right, Pokemon Gold and Silver have confirmed remakes! They shall be released on the Nintendo DS under the names HeartGold and SoulSilver.

I don't have a DS, but I would love to get my hold on these. The Johto games were my favourites.


As for what has been confirmed:
- The first Pokemon in your party can come out of it's Pokeball and follow you around (like Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow)

It's a lot easier to get Mew in the DS games.

I don't really like the Johto generation Pokemon. Kanto generation Pokemon was the best. Anyway I found out about these two remakes of gold and silver quite some time ago.

The Johto games had all of Kanto inside of them, what's not to like?

I've known about this for a while- it's brilliant news!! Pokemon Gold and Silver are my all time favourite Pokemon games, so obviously I was overjoyed when I heard there's gonna be a remake. Finally, a new Pokemon game worth getting again! The Johto Pokemon are my all time favourite, pretty much all of them look awesome! I can't wait to see what this game turns out like, I've always wanted to see Pokemon Gold and Silver in better graphics. I'll be getting this as soon as it comes out, that's for sure!

I can't wait for this release. I lost interest in Pokemon a while back, but I loved Pokemon Crystal, and if this is essentially the same thing, I'll probably love it as well. The Pokewalker peripheral sounds really neat. I'm looking forward to these games. I hope they'll be better than Pearl was.

SoulSilver might be something I'd get behind.

anyway, i have he old crystal, even though i'm sure this is greatly updated, i'd prefer to get platinum.

DO WANT. Personally, I think people somewhat exagerate about Pokemon in the "all the games are the exact same thing". Maybe to some extent, but I wonder if those people even bother to notice what each installment adds...

they have the same principle, but each game is pretty largely different from the others. with the exception being the paired games.

I'll probably pass. I bought Pokemon Diamond and the style of gameplay just doesn't interest me anymore. I've still only beaten about the first 4 gym leaders on it after having it for about a year. I'm too impatient for the turn based combat and walking around everywhere looking for the next gym while running into Pokemon constantly.

Totally getting this one, no doubt. A lot of people say the 2nd is the best generation.

I might get it. Initially I didn't think at all that remakes were going to happen :/ Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. 2nd gen is the only one I haven't played so far.

just for the record, fire red and leafgreen are NOT gen. 1, they're remakes of gen. 1
go to dopeROMS and download pokemon yellow, and tell me those are in the game.
