Sonic Riders? Why, with all his speed would even consider using a vehicle ever? A floating board? Mini Karts? Sonic Drift? What drug was he taking when he thought he should get into a vehicle and go a fraction of his natural speed?

becuase it if it goes anything like racing games off past
small support characters: slow
main characters:moderate
large support characters:fast

And to put it all out:
Drift and Drift 2: A tournament that required vehicles.
SA2B: A mini game. What, he can't have fun?
Riders: A tournament that required Extreme Gear.
The only example that can be truly debated is SR:ZG, and the level design in that game makes Extreme Gear use more sensible anyway.

Obviously because the game was intended for racing on hoverboards. Even if Sonic is faster on feet, it would go against the game's intentions on what it was trying to accomplish.

Yeah, it's just a game so who gives a crap. Just play it and have fun.
