This game looks awesome. The graphics aren't too good. The gameplay looks wonderful. And you get to control something! :)

The DS only has the power of a 64 with a higher polygon count. Bear with them.Mr. Money wrote:This game looks awesome. The graphics aren't too good. The gameplay looks wonderful. And you get to control something! :)
JMH:Just get Twilight Princess. The next Zelda title is a long way off.

the fact alone that they plan on having zelda be more apart of the game makes me want to get this game so bad. I hope I get it as a gift for Christmas.

I'm on the last boss right now. There were some really frustrating parts, but it's been good for the majority. I almost just gave up on the game completely because I was stuck at Rael's song. I didn't have that many problems with the songs other than Rael's and the last one though.
I'm relieved that the time limit was removed from it during the Tower of Spirits whereas there was one in the Temple of the Ocean King in PH. Same goes for not having to re-do past floors like in PH. So that was definitely an improvement.
I'd definitely rank it as one of the better Zelda handheld games. Most of them weren't quite my cup of tea.

How does it compare to Phantom Hourglass?Link451 wrote:I'm on the last boss right now. There were some really frustrating parts, but it's been good for the majority. I know I'm replying to a slightly old post, but Okami's existence doesn't detract from Twilight Princess's quality. I've played both game, and have since replayed both, and they're both top tier games. I personally think I enjoyed Twilight Princess a bit more, but Okami was certainly a breath of fresh air into a genre that not many games in general even are developed. I think the Zelda franchise could learn a lot from Okami and, to mention another title that worked similarly, Shadow Of The Colossus. Likewise, I think the upcoming Okami sequel on the DS can learn a lot from the recent Zelda DS titles- which utilize specific aspects of the DS better than most games.
I'm nearing the end of Spirit Tracks currently, and it's a great game. I would definitely say that if you're not doing any of the side quests, that it's easily the most linear Zelda game yet. While being linear can have its advantages, you're left kind of wanting more exploration and a less formulaic set up. It has definitely improved a lot of the aspects from Phantom Hourglass, but my biggest gripe (and it's not all that big) is that it feels a bit too much like Phantom Hourglass. It's a bit a harder, though if you're a Zelda vet you should have absolutely no problems, but it's still lacking some of the oomph that other Zelda games have had. I'm very happy with games that refine content, like this and Twilight Princess, but I think it's time the franchise takes more dynamic and bold moves: remind the industry why the franchise has been such a trend setter over the years.
