Is 60$ for one kid cheap for christmas?

Indeed. Many children in Africa would be perfectly content to eat a single meal on Christmas.

Well depends, if the kids are used to more then that, they may find it cheep. I for one usually get 150-200$ per family member on Christmas, so if someone would dub it down too 60$ I would find it kind of cheep

Yeah, I got a ipod touch on Christmas, and clothes from Ireland.

This year all I an get is an outfit, and a CD.

But it the thought that....... Matters.

Its not that I am upset, its just that when I go to my school, people get things like plasma televisions or ipods or something very expensive. And when people tell me, they make me feel like my family is lesser.

I didn't really want anything for Christmas, and I'm asking because I didn't really know my dad was being effected by the recession until now, because he always acts like it okay and theres nothing to worry about.

I asked if it was cheap because I wanted to know if I should just get nothing for Christmas if it is good for my family because if it was expensive then I wouldn't take it.

Last year I got many things, and this year we're toning it down.
