When Sonic fans–at least those in North America–set out to purchase Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing next month, they may be treated to a nice discount on nearly all editions of the game.
Gamestop reflects price points of $49.99 for the next-generation versions of the game–both on XBOX-360 and PS3. That is atypical from a normal $59.99 price point. Further, the Wii edition of ASR has a $39.99 price point listed–a nice change from the usual $49.99 prices of new releases. The DS edition sits at $29.99.
But that’s not all. Toys R Us also reflects the same price points for ASR. Meanwhile, Wal-Mart shows XBOX 360 and PS3 editions of the game with a $49.82 price, but there’s no cut yet for the Wii edition.
It's not yet clear whether UK retailers will offer the same price break to consumers.
So, with about a month to go until launch day, fans–and their wallets–have something more to look forward to when purchasing the game.
