Welcome to the new Sonic Community design

Don't worry, it is still the same forum you remember and love. We recently have undergone some structural updates. Some categories and boards were moved, renamed, and all of them now have descriptions. Also, TSC News and Discussion have been merged into one board and so have the archives. All forum news and announcements will be posted as such while the discussion involving the site and forum will be normal threads. This will help streamline or forum index.

Please voice your opinion in this thread along with any suggestions you have that will make it better.

Great work. I admit, it's a little confusing to adapt to at first, but I must nevertheless congratulate the TSC staff on what they have done.

Well, I was going to do that, but what would I put? "Anything that doesn't belong in the already specific gaming boards"? I mean, it just sounds generic.

What about,"Oddball consoles and general gaming news"? You could take out the general if you don't want a repeated word.

Also, I like the update.

Wasn't aware I renamed Random Hotel, and I thought maybe we'd stray away from copying SEGA's forum just a little bit.

Also, the mosque thing is an entire different thread, besides the fact that that story was barely even true.

Wait... you did this without consul with other staff? isn't that eh.... bad?

I talked with him about it in chat, asking if I could add descriptions and make a few changes. He said it was fine if I did that and I made the changes, and he said everything looked good after I was done. I asked specifically about the new name of Random, and he never answered, though he said "I like the rest of the changes though". Not sure why there had to be a big upset in this thread.

Most of that post was a joke, I was just saying that trying to name it something else really wouldn't fit, it's Random.

Besides, you're being more like SoA by renaming it that. How long since it's been called Random there? It's called "The Lounge", renaming it "Break Room" could easily be seen as trying to conform to their style.

Equally unpopular? 2 = 391? Because there were 2 topics in PC, and 391 in Fan Media. Anyway, I do like nearly all of the changes.

There are plenty of posts which are related to PC games in the General Gaming board. Now that the PC board has been created, people can post PC-gaming related stuff in the PC board.

We'll bring back PC boards if you can show they are popular enough. In other words, find all the old topics about PC gaming, and make a bunch of topics about PC gaming. If we get 10-20 topics regarding PC gaming by the end of the month, we will consider the recreation of the forum.

You totally missed the point. 2 threads with a few posts in a day compared to eleven in all three boards, in one month? Looking in all three, there are like ten threads that have had posts this month. Maybe as one board that'd be fine, but being seperate like they are, it looks like a ghost town.

I see two or three threads right now that could go to PC, and a "What are you playing?", "Post your desktop", and a specs thread could be created, as well as interesting news and PC/Mac Gaming news and discussion.
