Designs

I know this has been asked before, but now we really have the ability to do this effectively and quickly.

What forum designs or skins would you like to see implemented on TSC? For example, we already have Classic, which is no design in particular, just what we went with initially, and Reimagined, a skin based on Sonic 4.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Questions?

I still have my old designs for the villain theme in the old topic if you want to consider that.

Character based skins are popular.
Another idea would be to create a new skin for every new sonic game release... in which case TSC is 2 games short xD
But it's not like SEGA releases any more than 3-5 games annually, so that shouldn't be too tough to catch up with.

Maybe we should do skins for specific characters...

character based skins are rather pointless, very few people would use them, considering all the work that goes into them.

I agree with you, Suspicious Bush. I vote for game inspired skins.

I wouldn't be caught dead using it, but a "classic" skin inspired by the classic genesis games is the only good idea that comes to mind.

It also fits, seeing as we have a blurry sonic 4 skin.

Why does the SEGA description point out Phantasy Star and Virtua Fighter? Seems kinda random and misleading, as those aren't the only two franchises SEGA has. Why not just list something like "Genesis, Dreamcast, multiplat, and everything in between."?

And why were my perfectly good descriptions all axed?

How about a Sonic Adventure Dreamcast skin?

I think having a Sonic Adventure/SA2 series or a Genesis Sonic (overall theme of the mainstream Genesis Sonic games, not just StH) skin would be nice. In my head, the Genesis skin would look very similar to the current theme, but the tiles would be larger and more rudimentary, the trees, flowers, springs loops and everything would either be from Sonic 3 or Sonic 2, and the banner would have Sonic and Tails in their Sonic 2 banner.

The Sonic Adventure skin IMO would either be light and based around sonic and friends (SA1) or darker (not classic TSC dark though) and more modern, with a stronger emphasis on cities/space and the hero/dark side plot.

Just my ideas.
