This may seem like the obvious choice, but mine is Green Hill Zone due to the nostalgia!

Favourite Sonic Level?
I can understand this is probably a difficult question, but if you had to choose one, what would your favourite Sonic level be out of all the games that have been released so far and why?

Re: Favourite Sonic Level?
Here, let's move this to the right forum. And that's a tough one, but the first thing that came to my mind is Lava Reef. There's also Lost World, Metal Harbor, and Ice Cap Zone.

Re: Favourite Sonic Level?
I feel like we already have this topic somewhere, but my favorite level is probably either Ice Cap from Sonic 3, Speed Highway (both the original and the remake), City Escape (the original), or Rooftop Run (the original).

Re: Favourite Sonic Level?
That's a toughie. My favorite Sonic Level of all time is probably... Emerald Hill. I realize that's kind of a boring one to some people, but because of the way the Genesis and many games worked back in those days, you played that one over and over again. I know it like the back of my hand and could probably play it with my eyes closed.
It's more a personal thing than a "great level design" thing. I suppose from a game design standpoint, I really enjoyed everything in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, especially Sky Sanctuary. Sonic Generations also had some fantastic remixed levels, which I enjoyed immensely. The modern versions of the classic genesis titles were all on my favorites list from that game.

Oil Desert Zone is my number 1... or Chemical Plant (Genesis)... or Hydrocity, it isn't anywhere as hard as Labyrinth was.

Guys, stop treating me like I can't compare between Ocean or Desert. Oil Ocean is a somewhat bland and boring level, Desert is something better.
Oh, and Ocean is in S2. Desert is in S4E2

I knew what you're talking about Pooka, don't worry. I think Desert was a pretty cool stage too, especially those sand worm things that jump out at you. I didn't care too much for the rising sand sections though, heh.

I love Radical Highway in SA2! The time attack mission is hard, but it is still fun and addicting to play!

Also the scenery in Oil Desert to me, is the most detailed in Sonic 4. More than Sylvania, and maybe White Park too. Also the sandstorm and rising sand level is good (albeit I can pass it with confidence on my WinXP not my Win7 even though they're the same computer). The music is good and catchy, as long as you don't complain about the dying ducks.
Also when the heck is the PC version of SA2 going to be released? City Escape... I feel entitled..

I really enjoyed the music to Oil Desert really, and people complaining about dying ducks were the annoying ones, haha.Pooka wrote:Nuva wrote:I knew what you're talking about Pooka, don't worry. If you find out let me know, I really want it for PC too.
