But that's just it. I couldn't tell whether he was being serious or not. It sounded rude to me, hence, the reason I responded the way I did. Had I knew he was just being silly (which I didn't), I would have just brushed it off and kept it moving. Maybe it was because I don't know him like that, but to me, that sounded completely serious.Schnickelfritz wrote:*ShiningStar* wrote:
Notice how I was just messing around. It's not you guys did not say that cake would ruin cheese. And even so, me preferring cake over sushi or cheese or whatever, doesn't mean I am ignorant. I disagreed with your statements, but I never insulted you for it.
It's okay to like different things but at least keep it classy.
I don't see how your argument of just having been messing around doesn't apply to what Sushi said either. It was basically a battle of
"I like this"
"I like this"
"Whatever, your stuff ruins my stuff anyway"
"whatever, you're just being ignorant"
Sushi's calling you ignorant was merely an extension of the silliness. Ignorance just means not understanding or trying to understand something, which is what you both (and I too) were mock-doing.
I'm a chilled person who loves to have fun, but if I feel offended or disrespected, I'm going to say something. Like I said before, I don't know him like that, so I wouldn't have known if he was kidding or not. And for me, to have someone you don't know like that insult you (even if you don't see it as an insult), whether it was intentional or not, is disrespectful and crosses the line.
Now I would simply love for this to be dropped since we all gave our two cents. It's done. Can we please just change the subject?
