If there's any band to come out of Australia that's earned their legendary status, it's AC/DC. The only other band I know of from Australia to come even close to the legendary status they have is INXS (R.I.P. Michael Hutchence). What can be said about AC/DC that hasn't already been said? They are probably the best musical act to ever come out of Australia. They are also the most successful Australian group of all time! They've produced several hard rock classics that still gets lots of airplay on classic rock radio stations to this day such as T.N.T., Let There Be Rock, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Big Balls, Highway To Hell, Back In Black, You Shook Me Alll Night Long, Hells Bells, Thunderstruck, and more. The band's 1980 release Back In Black is one of the biggest selling albums of all time, including the 2nd biggest selling of all time world wide.
