Eh, you'd think that with Riders ending, but he seem quite obsessed with the start of SR:ZG. He goes looking for a legend of his people (who he hadn't had that much interest in before), just so he could beat Sonic. And if you think about it, it kinda makes sense, what with his age and all. He was the master of Extreme Gear. No one had ever beaten him before, then some random guy who probably never even heard of Extreme Gear goes and beats you.
