Re: Sonic Generations
This game is going to be............. EPIC!!!!
It looks awesome!
Classic 2d Sonic in Sonic 1,2,and 3 like stages, and Modern Sonic in Unleashed/Colors type stages, couldn't make a better Sonic game. This is Sega's chance to redeem itself.

keepin it simple & chao world
i think they made a smart move. not bringging back 2D but bringing back the iconic apects of sonic back from the environment, music, title screen. You know, the things that make you feel like you're playing a sonic game.
Although i do with they would revive the chao world mini game as an extra. i think they would go far by putting more content in to make an arcade game out of it then use the marketing magic they're known for.

Re: Sonic Generations
Just noticed spin attack with modern sonic... looks pretty good :)
You know, instead of having the boost, they could have omitted it for spin attack (sonic running then rolling up into a ball to kill the enemies) haven't seen that in a 3D sonic game before... So when you're close to an enemy, instead of boosting, you spin attack them. Adds some difficulty, and uses the ol' physics; since spin attack range varies with ground gradient.
It also seems there will be no homing attack... since you don't get the usual lock-on icon when sonic is in the air and close to an enemy. I really liked homing attack though... hope I'm wrong.
Also hoping for the option to play as Super Sonic in all levels, instead of keeping him exclusive to the final boss. Adds to the re-playability in my opinion...

The only time a Sonic jumped into the air to attack an enemy in that gameplay was during classic Sonic's gameplay, and he never had a homing attack in the old days. Chances are, that'll be specific to him and actually make his gameplay truer to the classics than Sonic 4.

Also, my previous statement still seems correct. He homing attacked and got a lock-on cursor as modern Sonic, but never did either as classic Sonic.

SEGA hopes “that this summary of to its obtains it life and we pruned to advance other 20 years and to create the together history of Sonic again”. “This year we have Sonic Generations, that is the fusion of everything what it has represented Sonic during its 20 years of history. The Levels in Sonic Generations
Though we already know that the levels in the game will be a romp through old levels, like Green Hill Zone, what levels do you think will be in Sonic Generations? What kinds of levels?
What levels do you want/think should be in the game?

Re: Sonic Generations
I just realized something. They are totally ripping off Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time.
The story for Partners in Time is that Time Holes are opening into the past because of a disturbance in the timeline, and Mario and Luigi go back in time and find their baby selves. In Sonic Generations, Time Holes are popping up because of a menace and Sonic goes back in time and finds himself as he was in 1991. Sonic Generations story was found on the sega website, and I played Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. It'll still be a great game. Also, if Nintendo bought Sega, then why is Sega making games for PS3 an Xbox 360?

"We will have stages from the classic era, Dreamcast era, and the modern era."
Ohshnizzles, Crazy Gadget and/or Final Chase could make a comeback.

Re: Sonic Generations
I think it might draw from the best of the themes that the Sonic levels had to offer (lava, ice, forest, mechanical, etc.). I have my own favorite levels such as Lava Reef, Marble Garden, Chemical Plant and Green Hill.

Re: Sonic Generations
I think the levels will be:
Sonic The Hedgehog: Green Hill Zone
Sonic The Hedgehog CD: Starlight Speedway Zone
Sonic The Hedgehog 2: Chemical Plant Zone
Sonic The Hedgehog 3: Ice Cap Zone
Sonic & Knuckles: Death Egg Zone
Sonic Adventure: Lost World
Sonic Adventure 2: City Escape
Sonic Heroes: Mystic Mansion
Shadow The Hedgehog: Cosmic Fall
But I'd rather have:
Sonic The Hedgehog: Green Hill Zone or Labyrinth Zone
Sonic The Hedgehog CD: Wacky Workbench Zone
Sonic The Hedgehog 2: Oil Ocean Zone
Sonic The Hedgehog 3: Launch Base Zone
Sonic & Knuckles: Sandopolis Zone
Sonic Adventure: Lost World or Windy Valley
Sonic Adventure 2: Crazy Gadget or Pyramid Cave
Sonic Heroes: Mystic Mansion or Grand Metropolis
Shadow The Hedgehog: Cosmic Fall or Lethal Highway
Granted, I'm still not sure they'll stick with Shadow, but it's main series and "canon," so who knows. Plus I thought I heard Shadow was in the game. Otherwise, it'll probably be the Rushes or Advances that get in.
Oh, and probably Special Stages will appear.

If no one has already posted this;
An almost full level of Sonic Generations (2d and 3d):
Soundtrack is fabulous. So are the graphics. The gameplay looks pretty decent as well.

Re: Sonic Generations
Someone should just go buy me a PS3 or something. You know, because this forum goes out and does that. Right?
