Pokemon Nicknames!

Sometimes I feel like the only person who nicknames their Pokemon, and I'd like to be proven wrong. Do you guys name your Pokemanz? What do you name them after?
I usually wind up naming mine after movies, books, vidya, or mythology.

Naming my Magneton Tom Servo was my greatest decision ever

it didn't make any puns, it's just that that's the greatest nickname for the greatest pokemon

I named my bulbasaur Sundew. It's a type of carnivorous plant and it sounds pretty.

Accidentally named my Lucario L when going for Luke once. Also named a Sandile SteveIrwin for some irony.

My brother once named an Abra . As in, its name was a blank name. That was some seriously rad stuff when I was a kid. BUT HOW WOULD YOU PRONOUNCE IT

Easy, you just say "Hey, come here" and it would read your mind and know you're talking to it.

I named my first Pikachu in Yellow, Bella. I was so young.

I named my Togepi Ivo today.

Also, my team in HeartGold so far consits of Saria (Chikorita), Kaepora (Hoothoot), and Balboa (Geodude). And that Togepi. I plan on keeping Saria and Balboa but I'll replace Kaepora with a Xatu later on. I haven't decided what I'll name Xatu though...

So I got Black 2 now, and decided to nickname my team. These are the names for the four I have so far:
Servine: Anko
Flaaffy: Spark
Lucario: Ryo
Growlithe: Inferno
I finally completed my team so:
Starmie: Orion
Skarmory: Rheaird

I named my Jolteon Joldictera! I think it's an awesome name for an electric pokemon like that, and I think I renamed my Raichu something but I don't remember nowadays, it's been too long lol.
