Knuckles at his Best

Post here where you thought Knuckles was at his prime. PLEASE, DO NOT SAY: S3&K. THERE. IS. A. DIFFERENCE.

In my opinion, the best games that featured Knuckles were:

Sonic The Hedgehog 3

Sonic and Knuckles

Sonic Adventure

Sonic Adventure 2

And, out of those Sonic Adventure 2 comes out last. He had less to do with the plot and was more of a Master Emerald metal detector than an assest to the story. Sure, his design was the best ever at that time, but it still doesn't compensate for the fact that he was pretty useless in it compared to others.

In Sonic The Hedgehog 3, he was the ultimate, and highly original BAD@$$. The one and only rival to Sonic.

In Sonic and Knuckles, Knuckles has a slight change of heart and is now more of a friendly rival to Sonic.

In Sonic Adventure he still has that Metal Dector aura about him, but seems more integrated than in Sonic Adventure 2.

So, I guess it would go:

1.- Sonic The Hedgehog 3
2.- Sonic and Knuckles
3.- Sonic Adventure
4.- Sonic Adventure 2

So, how about you?

For the games I've played, the 2 Adventure games.

STH 3 for sure, but I'd put SADX as a close second. It really helped put you into the situation he was in a bit more. I'd still like more elaboration into the sorrow of his lifestyle, but only if they avoid overdrama.

Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. There's just something about old style Knuckles I love, looks and personality wise. He was an amazing character back then.

Yes indeed. He was badass in Sonic 3 and then became friends with Sonic in Sonic & Knuckles. I like old style Knuckles way better then the Knuckles now. The Knuckles now just isn't the same. So he was the best in Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles.

Sonic Battle was perfect. He wasn't following Sonic around all of the time, and he had a good personality too.
I wouldn't mind if hed went back tot e way he was in the Adventures either, he's pretty much the same.

I can't accept Sonic 3 & Knuckles as separate games.

They were meant to be one game during development. Sonic & Knuckles was pretty much made to allow that to happen.

I say Sonic Adventure 2 because he had the best voice in that game, IMO. Also, he seemed cool.

I saw it in Next-gen and Riders 1. Can't recall anywhere else though.
