Sonic's Personality
I've seen both liking and complaining towards it. What do you think of it? Where was it at it's finest? What do you want of it? Explain what you think and what you want.

Re: Sonic's Personality
I loved his personality in the Adventures and Battle, and also the storybook series. I like him most when he cocky, witty, and fearless, ot when he's all Mr. niceguy.

His personality was best in SA2. The SA1 lacked something.

NO, his personality in SA1 was perfect. So many memorable lines.

"Watch out! You're gonna crash! Argh!"
I'm more interested in the potential of his personality than the actual personality given. I dunno, his brashness is a little...eh.

Re: Sonic's Personality
One of the things which brought me to Sonic was his personality; always on the move and constantly looking out for his friends. In the cartoons, most of the time he was turned into an impatient blowhard ("I'm WAIIITIIING!"), but the games kept him friendly and outgoing.
I'd like to find out a few more things about what goes on in Sonic's mind such as:
-What makes him cry? (and don't say "his games")
-What does he have conflicting feelings about?
-What would even he hesitate to do?
-What does he risk all the time?

I like the cocky, witty version where he will do anything and joke about it

Sonic Adventure 1 had the best personality IMO.

Re: Sonic's Personality
Archie has no idea how to make Sonic's character likable. I'm always rooting for the bad guys in the comics.
His best, too me, would be the Unleashed one.

Re: Sonic's Personality
I loved SA2's personality. It was perfect, IMO. I also liked SA1, Unleahsed, and Rush.
Well, this is how I feel about those questions... (don't take 'em officially, just my opinion!)
-I feel that Sonic is not really a crier. But it would take a lot to make him cry, such as seeing one of his friends die or something tragic like that.
-I don't see him as much of a "thinker", per say.
-Go into water! Or maybe even go into a relationship with someone. Other than that, I think he's a pretty risky person.
-His life, when fighting Robotnik. He could get killed anytime. He just doesn't!

Re: Sonic's Personality
Idk why people complain about Sonic's personality. I really like his cocky, eager, and funny personalities, shows he has some character.

Re: Sonic's Personality
I've never really noticed major problems with Sonic's personality. He's a cocky ass when it's funny, and the nice guy when seriousness is needed. It's like that with a lot of stock heroes, really. Not very original, but functional for sure.

Re: Sonic's Personality
If freedom had an official symbol it would be Sonic The Hedgehog. He does what he wants when he wants and no one can tell him other wise. But at the same time sonic is very righteous always taking on the problems of those plagued by injustice. He's fearless and is willing to die without hesitation to protect the innocent.
He's a little arrogant and kind of a show off but doesn't flaunt it every five seconds like Dante in DMC.
His personality along with his incredible speed is why he's my favorite Video Game character of all time.

Re: Sonic's Personality
To me nothing is canon, not the games, not the comics, etc.
To me The only canon is what I believe Sonic is, his personality etc. so when the comics and games disagree with that, it doesn't bother me at all. I can enjoy them but they don't effect how I think of Sonics personality.
in other words whatever the games comics, tv, etc. show Sonic saying or doing is fictional and putting words in his mouth. IMO.

Re: Sonic's Personality
All of his personalities between 1991 and 2002 were agreeable from my view.
