Blue Spheres was pretty easy for me. Those save states aren't on every port either, like Mega Collection. And Heroes remade them into much easier and thus more enjoyable versions.

I agree with you there, though I got the hang of blue spheres a bit too. Both were fun.

I found Blue Spheres much easier to do, but that's me.

I only half agree. If you rely on save states for luxury, then you're a wimp. If you NEED save states because you're a bad gamer when it comes to the 2D Sonic format, then you're desperate. I'm the latter. Call me a wimp if you like, but I need save states or I can't enjoy the game.

I don't need save states, but I use them when available.

They're quite useful, actually.

They're especially good if you run into difficulties and stuff.

They're not bad...

I could never beat the Sonic Heroes special stages, I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

I had serious problem with the yellow one on the casino stage, it took me so many retries, and without savestates since I was using the Gamecube.

I'm not even getting close to the emerald though, maybe I'm using boost wrong? I have it for PS2.
Also, I recently got Black Knight, doesn't seem too bad so far.

Yeah, the PS2 version is the glitchiest, so you may just be getting unlucky. Boosting should be simple to do though, so try and figure it out, you'll get it eventually.

And yeah, it's a good game. Great story and music.

I found it kind of funny how the music is all medieval sounding, but when Lancelot arrives it starts playing All Hail Shadow.

I'm missing your point. Sonic 2 has more levels (not counting S&K), and you can play Sonic 2 with Tails following you as well. The difference in Sonic 3 is playing as Knuckles.

don't forget more zones,hidden routes,introduction of the hyper forms.super emeralds and....thats pretty much it....I think.

That's only with Sonic and Knuckles attached, but otherwise yeah.
