Automatic Rankings

An automatic ranking system based on a user's post count has already been established, as follows, with the post count needed to achieve the rank, with the rank name, respectively. I'm asking for suggestions for new ranks, or post count adjustments. I want ranks up to at least 5,000 posts, the increments don't have to be exact.

0: Ghost
5: Beginner
10: Guest
20: Visitor
50: Member
75: Regular
100: Commoner
150: Apprentice
200: Active

You could try shifting the ranks above "Regular" up by about 250 (so they are 250 posts apart). So, like, maybe, push Regular up to 100 posts, then have "Commoner" at 350, then have "Apprentice" at 600, and put "Active" at 850 posts.

200 is not active. there are 64 members with at least 200 posts. There shouldn't be any ranks at all.

The ranks guest and visitor are going to be rather confusing.
After all, members are members. The lowest rank should be Beginner.
Then you could have stuff like, regular, commoner, hyper/super-poster (whatever >.>), addict...etc. etc.
It'd be nice to see some sonic-related names too. I can't think of any though xP

I remember =BS= had something like this. It was a fun alternative to custom titles.

Although, our ranks topped out at 2,000 posts.

Those are really good rank ideas, Gamma. If you could use some of the ranks from that list, and make sure that the ranks top out at at least 3000 or something, then that would be a good idea.

Take out God, saint, and angel. We don't want to offend anyone.

And whilst we're at it, I'd suggest also removing guru. Same religions connotations.

Um, for one, no "active" rank, i have over 200, and Im barely active.

Well, you're only one post away from beginner, mate. Still, all the good ranks only come if you have 100 posts or more.
