Did he plan this? He did a good job, then, by the looks of it. I haven't even created many threads recently, as I've been so busy replying to the other threads (thank you, Cosmo the Seedrian). The activity has increased greatly.

Also, plenty of old members, like Koy, Nuva500, Reina Watt etc. have come back, and some, like Nuva, are active even now. I think we're doing well now.

Continue like this, guys, and we may yet reach 100000 posts overall.

Active! Although I fear some of the people who left before may leave again for similar reasons. We may find ourselves back in near the same situation not long after. Hopefully enough people decide to stay that it doesn't come to that.

How do you know it's his? What if he stole it or something?

Im no pro at this kinda stuff but you can't expect everyone to be active. As far as I know many people have other things to do other than just sit at a computer. I dont mean this in a bad way I'm just pointing out that some people might not be on TSC or many other sites due to the real world. I for one am not on as much as I used to be due to the fact I have moved away from sonic games and I dont play them as much as I used to.

I don’t think this community looks dead at all. In fact, it’s practically brimming with vitality compared to my own forum. It’s good that all of you are so close with one another. I think that’s one of the most important ingredients in creating a successful forum. Most of us focus on creating so much new activity that we forget that message boards are to help us express our own opinions online and make new friends along the way. As long as this place has dedicated members here, it won’t fade away into oblivion.

I like all these optimistic and slightly philosophical posts. I wonder if Zez is tired of running a forum? I can't imagine it being an easy job, and probably an emotional connection as well. It's quite possible that any phase this forum goes through, he feels it multiplied. Example, if this forum goes through a lull in activity, he might think its crumbling to dust, as it were. I would assume it to be rather upsetting.

I tend to be the kind of person who reads but says very little. It's a skill I learned from childhood - say little, hear what needs to be heard, be sure to be unseen so that no one gives you attention.
Never been all that big on the social scene.

What is there to talk about when it comes to the Sonic franchise? Sonic 4 turned out to be a disappointment for many, a good game but it was lacking.
Sonic Adventure's release on the Live Arcade was poor to say the least, the game has aged badly. Bound to happen.
The Sonic games on the Wii are received with mixed views.

Unless the franchise gets a major improvement it's likely going to die and become one of many franchises that those who enjoyed it will miss and those who hated it will be glad it's gone so that they can be catered to with their endless yearly shooter rehashes.
Sega's mishandling of the franchise since the mid 90s hasn't done it any favours from their first, and frankly terrible attempts at 3D Sonic games and then managing to do so with Sonic Adventure onwards but for those games to suffer from not only some eye brow raising ideas that are so bad that it's beyond a joke to poorly implemated controls and camera.

While the Mario franchise is still pretty strong, the Sonic franchise is dying a nasty death. And it's not a nice thing to be seeing.
Maybe the Sonic franchise should be sold to a development team who might just restore the franchise to it's former glory. That might be the only thing left that can save it.

Time can be cruel and it's been very cruel to the Sonic franchise.

Regardless whether it is or not, this forum can keep strong. Just because the forum is a Sonic forum doesn't mean that's the only thing to talk about here. In fact, half the time Sonic is never mentioned. I just responded to a thread that has yet to have Sonic talked about at all, albeit it's still in the video game area. Whether or not Sonic is dieing shouldn't affect how this forum recovers, and may even lead to interesting topic debates in, say, a new thread

That's true. We have plenty of non-Sonic/ non-SEGA topics. You don't necessarily have to be a Sonic Fan to keep this forum going.

That's why I'm here, I was just checking my email and there was a new one titled "Do you remember us?" and it led right to this very thread. So yes, that's why everyone is suddenly coming back.
