Egg Emperor, although it had more to do with poor design than actual difficulty.

That looked imtimidating at first, but once I got good at it, it's really easy. I still hate it though.Roterblitz wrote:Egg Emperor, although it had more to do with poor design than actual difficulty.

Playing as Knuckles, I have to agree. It's more noticeable than ever that Knuckles doesn't jump as high as Sonic.sykog77 wrote:Sonic 2's final boss. I can't beat it.
Anyhow, for me:
There's this one Iblis fight in Sonic 2006, I think it's the last boss in Silver's story.

Re: Hardest Boss?
There are three Bosses that I have always had trouble with.
Sonic 2- The Egg Mech was extremely hard to beat without any rings to protect you.
Labyrinth Zone Act 3. It can be extremely hard to complete. After you are attacked, there is a high possibility that you would fall quite a distance.
The Biolizard: Although the first sections were easy to complete, the final attack pattern that it used was extremely hard to pass through.

Re: Hardest Boss?
Sonic/Shadow race? It really wasn't that hard. You wanted to keep on running, but let them get ahead enough so that they'd stop and use their special attack. Their special attack isn't too hard to dodge, but they'll stand still for a few seconds and that's your chance to attack. But of course be sure to keep on moving as the platform will fall.
Oh and there is of course using the Light Speed Dash. If he's in between a set of rings and you are at the end of the set of rings, use Light Speed Dash and you'll go right through the other guy, causing some damage. Somewhat tricky, but not dangerous, but convenient aswell because of the number of rings.

No, it was EASIER than anything in the world until you have one hit left, then it gets boring.

Vs. King Arthur 2. Gosh, it took me an hour to finally beat him.

I thought King Arthur was easy both times, it just took some patience and practice.

Re: Hardest Boss?
There's probably loads of bosses which are harder than this, but I can honestly say I've never been able to get past the first boss in the first level of the Game Gear version of Sonic 2, it's sooo hard! I have no problems with the Master System version though.
