My story idea for a new Sonic game.
Sonic and friends discover a portal ring beneath Central City which transports them to another world, sort of. It’s an entire artificial empire where Eggman’s robots are the people, the animals, and just about everything else. The doctor’s face flashes on the sides of buildings, and his voice crackles through hidden speakers everywhere they go. The question is where is he? Surprise! He’s in jail, and he’s asking for their help.
He explains that this robotic world is a project he began as the result of an idea he’d hit on years before. If he couldn't rule the world, maybe he could build his own. Constructed miles below the earth’s surface, it had been his idea of the ultimate retirement plan. He just needed someone to watch over the empire while he was out trying to take over the real world, so he created an artificial intelligence system based off of himself. The problem? He’s finally ready to take over, and the stubborn thing has him locked up. Oh, and it’s building up an army with the intent of taking over the real world too. Go figure.
Sonic doesn’t like the idea of working with his arch nemesis, but given the circumstances he agrees to bust him out.
