...buuut Classic Sonic looks like he's giving us the finger. I mean, that's actually what I thought when I first looked at it and now that's what I see every time I look at it. Thoughts?

Just look carefully, CAREFULLY. You will see that his raised finger is his fourth finger. So no he isn't giving the freaking finger.
Also look at his fourth finger. You can't raise the third finger the same way as the fourth. The fourth finger if raised that way could be as straight as your hand is, the third finger however, cannot be straight when raised alone. 'Nuff said, Sonic isn't offending us, why would Sega do an artwork that does that?

I second that, Speedy. What else do you need, sir? I know the lighting makes this a problem for you, but I see its his index finger really. Also why would Sega make Sonic give you a finger?
