I must say Classic Sonic feels a lot better than the last time I played as him, though that might just be me. Also Modern is fantastic as well, I love the new drift, and am also glad that they removed the quick time events and realigned the homing attack to the jump button.

What's the new drift like? Do you go into a spindash every time you drift? I've been hoping they would do that for quite some time now.

It sounds like all the level's original theme was mashed up with classic and modern.Jmh wrote:Well, the end credit's theme was leaked...

Re: Sonic Generations
played the demo
hold right, jump every so often, spindash every so often, what other game felt like that? Oh right! Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colours...
Honestly guys, this game barely deserves mediocre. Sega is literally playing the Nostalgia card so you will give them money, there is absolutely nothing innovative about this. "Oh but Auflo! There's missions with 3D settings and Newer stages like the Adventure games!" and yes the 3D stages do look appealing but they also look like the Sonic Adventure stages in, "HIGH DEFINITION!"
Guys if you want to waste your money on stages from games you already have in HD and a loose story connecting them, be my guest, but don't go bitching about the game in a year because it get's boring and repetitive like EVERY OTHER SONIC GAME.

Re: Sonic Generations
But I really liked every other Sonic game...I haven't been complaining. A friend let me play the demo on his X-Box, and I've been playing those two levels for almost an hour straight. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the game, so please don't go ranting about how it's going to crash, like everyone has been doing for every other Sonic game. In fact, I bet if half the people who say the other Sonic games are terrible actually went and PLAYED the game, without thinking "Oh jee this sucks may as well give it a shot" maybe you'd like it. For the record, I haven't had the wonderful, erm, opportunity to play '06, but I believe it would of been a fine game, baring a certain cutscene, if they were given enough time to fix all the bugs. Unleashed was great fun, and even the Werehog levels only got boring around halfway through the game. Colors was great.
Auflo, I understand what you're saying, I really do, but if you watch some of the trailers you'll see that there are some parts you can't just rush through. Remember, Green Hill is always the easy level. Give it a chance before you call it yet another Sonic game.
Sorry to go off topic and rant like that, I really just don't appreciate comments like the above. Anyways, like I said, I loved the demo, I can't wait at all for the game to come out...

That's pretty hard to not complain about Shadow the Hedgehog, congrats!nuva500 wrote:But I really liked every other Sonic game...I haven't been complaining.

Same thing I did for Ace Combat Assault Horizon and yeah they were fun (both games) but bear in mind that demos show off the glory points of a game rather than the meat of the game.
I have never done this in my life, I'm just saying that while it is fun, it's using the nostalgia factor to gain buyers rather than a solid original experience to gain buyers.I'm really looking forward to the rest of the game, so please don't go ranting about how it's going to crash, like everyone has been doing for every other Sonic game.
This would be a solid argument for your client... Had I not played every sonic game since the Genesis days, Sonic 06 I felt was in the same boat as some PS2 games where if I found glitches I would enjoy and exploit them as long as they weren't game breaking. In fact, I bet if half the people who say the other Sonic games are terrible actually went and PLAYED the game, without thinking "Oh jee this sucks may as well give it a shot" maybe you'd like it. 1.Werehog stages felt like a bad version of Bayonetta which in itself is a bad version of Dante's Inferno which in itself is a bad version of God Of War.Unleashed was great fun, and even the Werehog levels only got boring around halfway through the game. Colors was great.
2. Colors was great, only it was being marketed as a full game on a modern console, being a 2D game with 3D elements and cutscenes.
That is true! there will be five second breaks of jumping in the level where you are mostly running straight.if you watch some of the trailers you'll see that there are some parts you can't just rush through.
1.Green hill is an easy level.Remember, Green Hill is always the easy level. Give it a chance before you call it yet another Sonic game.
2. it is another Sonic game that's why it's called Sonic Generations... :faecpalm:
You'd work great at Fox News, "He doesn't agree with me? Time to morph his words into saying he's Hitler!"Sorry to go off topic and rant like that, I really just don't appreciate comments like the above.
Anyways, like I said, I loved the demo, I can't wait at all for the game to come out...

Re: Sonic Generations
But I never called you Hitler, nor did I try to insinuate that you were on a genocidal level worth of hatred...merely that I did not approve of your bashing. To be honest, I had forgot about Shadow (game), which is the only game I've played that I would rate slightly below mediocre, but still wasn't horrible. Also, when I said to not call it "just another Sonic game" I meant don't do so as an insult. I really wasn't trying to start a fight, I just wanted you to know that some people are genuinely excited for this game and that it really irks me when I hear/see people assuming a game will suck because they've never played it. I understand that a lot of the game is driven by nostalgia, and I kind of wish there was gonna be some original levels, but nonetheless the levels I've seen look to be exciting. To reiterate: I am NOT trying to start a fight with you, nor am I trying to say you're a bad person, etc. Please, I'd rather not have yet another person forever hate me...
On a lighter note, Generations is now available for pre-order on Steam! So those of you holding out, SEGA can take your money now. They've already got mine.

Look, if you're really upset about what I said then send me a pm, I'll discuss it with you there, I like this thread for having updates about Generations and I'd rather it not get it filled with our hate.

That was the only way I could get the picture to remain animated but since I love you like you put up with you guys I will change it to one of the new artworks, hopefully you will stop whining after I do so.
