A friend let me play the demo on his X-Box, and I've been playing those two levels for almost an hour straight.
Same thing I did for Ace Combat Assault Horizon and yeah they were fun (both games) but bear in mind that demos show off the glory points of a game rather than the meat of the game.
I'm really looking forward to the rest of the game, so please don't go ranting about how it's going to crash, like everyone has been doing for every other Sonic game.
I have never done this in my life, I'm just saying that while it is fun, it's using the nostalgia factor to gain buyers rather than a solid original experience to gain buyers.
In fact, I bet if half the people who say the other Sonic games are terrible actually went and PLAYED the game, without thinking "Oh jee this sucks may as well give it a shot" maybe you'd like it. For the record, I haven't had the wonderful, erm, opportunity to play '06, but I believe it would of been a fine game, baring a certain cutscene, if they were given enough time to fix all the bugs.
This would be a solid argument for your client... Had I not played every sonic game since the Genesis days, Sonic 06 I felt was in the same boat as some PS2 games where if I found glitches I would enjoy and exploit them as long as they weren't game breaking.
Unleashed was great fun, and even the Werehog levels only got boring around halfway through the game. Colors was great.
1.Werehog stages felt like a bad version of Bayonetta which in itself is a bad version of Dante's Inferno which in itself is a bad version of God Of War.
2. Colors was great, only it was being marketed as a full game on a modern console, being a 2D game with 3D elements and cutscenes.
if you watch some of the trailers you'll see that there are some parts you can't just rush through.
That is true! there will be five second breaks of jumping in the level where you are mostly running straight.
Remember, Green Hill is always the easy level. Give it a chance before you call it yet another Sonic game.
