How Sonic Unleashed could have been a good Sonic Adventure 3.

That's why they should never make it.

Seriously, the worst thing they could do is make an SA3. It's worse than churning out mediocrity after mediocrity.

What was so bad about SA and SA2?

They were too good. Our expectations of a sequel to those are now unattainably astronomical.

I agree, but I would still like an SA3. I dunno, maybe it's 'cause I can play '06 and enjoy it, but that's just me.

Well, it sounds all right but the game has been out for a while now and none of that happened... so there's really no point in wishing for it now.

Yeah, Sonic Unleashed is way better than the Adventure series.

The day levels, anyway.

Sonic Unleashed is all about speed and trial and error, while the Adventure series centers on exploration and puzzle-like sections. Speed isn't necessary, but it is an added bonus.

Furthermore, the shooting and gem levels in Adventure are merely semi-platforming, while the borehog levels in Unleashed are full-scale platforming levels that last a long long time.

Unleashed has bosses constantly moving along a passage (by speed) and defeated by trial and error, while Adventure has stationary bosses that must be defeated in a puzzle-like fashion.

Adventure has collaboration; Unleashed is merely Sonic.


And no, I completely disagree. I think the day levels are just as bad as the night ones. I don't play a game for trial and error. I play them for action and adventure.

I do hope you understand my sarcasm, even though it can be slightly difficult to detect on forums.

Also, Adventure fans will obviously have pro-Adventure opinions.

In the Adventure series, you do better if you have speed, but they generally don't impose it upon you. I don't like to rush through levels, I like to enjoy them. Unleashed doesn't give me the latter experience because its gameplay concentrates on rushing through levels.

I can fully enjoy levels and still blast through them, but once again it's just an opinion.
