I wanted to call this "The Point-and-Click Adventure Game Appreciation Topic" but that was too long.

So games like Monkey Island and Sam & Max are pretty cool... I'd like to play through more Sam & Max games, but I've played most of the Monkey Island games at least partially through. Nuva and I are trying to buy them on Steam...

The Strong Bad game was really good too, I've only played the first two episodes though. Which sucks because I heard the other three were a million times better.

Does anyone else like games like these, and are there any pretty awesome ones I should know about?

I recommend an Amiga to play most point and click adventure games. I used to and still sometimes play the following:

    Beneath A Steel Sky
    Bloodnet
    Castle Master
    Codename: Iceman
    Cruise for a Corpse
    Darkseed
    Day Of The Tentacle
    Daymare 2
    Dreamweb
    Flight of the Amazon Queen
    Innocent Until Caught
    KGB
Leisure Suit Larry (1 through 6)
    Lure Of The Temptress
    Operation Stealth
    Police Quest (1 through 3)
    Space Quest (any one)
Ultima 7 : The Black Gate

I've been wanting to play Ultima and Leisure Suit Larry for a while now. I've vaguely heard of Day of the Tentacle and heard it was awesome.... and all these games are for the Amiga? I want one now. Hopefully the games aren't too hard to find. Or the console.

There are DOS versions of these same games, you can either get dosbox and play the DOS versions or get UAE (Amiga emulator) and play the Amiga versions. Most of the Amiga versions tend to have higher quality sound and graphics.

Back to the Future: The Game
    (takes place after third film)

I tried the games made by the company that made deponia. They aren't that great in my opinion, though enjoyable. Some of their games are actually propaganda pieces, which is really annoying.

There are a few new ones on the iPhone/iTouch/iPad.
It is a little sad that this genre has decreased over the years.
it's the same with puzzle games (and bejeweled is not a puzzle game, it is 3-in-a-row).
i like that adventure games and proper puzzle games are making a comeback...even though you need an iTouch/iPad to play most of them.
