Still, he isn't stupid. He is just gullible, and Eggman is very smart. I don't need to do the math on this topic.

Read the link, he was Flanderized, it means they took one of his traits and exaggerated it to the point where he became a completely different character.

I'm not all that accustomed to what he apparently used to be. But I loved the way he acted in the first two seasons of Sonic X and in SA2.

Yes. The only thing that makes it even remotely canon is the talk between Sonic Team after fighting Team Dark of them saying Shadow is a ghost talking about Shadow dying from falling to Earth. Other than that, if you removed that whole game from existence it wouldn't matter because it contributed nothing to the storyline.

Sonic Battle was non-canon.

So? The charcters were still awesome in that.

Both Battle and Heroes are canon. Omega and Cream from Heroes are main characters, who are referenced and featured in Battle, which is referenced in Advance 3, which is canon because of Advance 2, which is canon because it introduces Cream, and because it is a sequel to Advance 1, which explains where the CEs went after SA2. So yes, all the games are canon.

What do you mean how? It happened so it happened. What else could there be to it then that?

And it's a canon main series title to boot.

Just because it was created doesn't make it essential to the storyline. No one will ever meet up again and refer to that time that teh Chaotix and their Allies Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails had a huge fight. No one will ever talk about Metal Sonic destroying the world. If that game never happened, it wouldn't matter stroy-wise. Just because it was made doesn't make it vital story-wise.

No. That isn't true. First of all it really doesn't matter if that were truely the case. No one refering back to it or it not mattering if it was removed or not doesn't change the fact that it still happened. It's part of the main canon. What's canon is canon whether it be important or not.

And if that game didn't happen there are a few things that really wouldn't make much sense. Such as Shadow being brought back, no one being surprised to see him suddenly there again, the Shadow andriods, E-123 Omega suddenly showing up and having an actual relationship with these characters, the Chaotix sudden return, etc. And not to mention Metal Sonic's bad guy appearance in what I assume to be a long time would be scrapped despite it not mattering to the story.

Whatever happens in the story happened. Whether or not it's referred back to doesn't matter. That isn't the case here though as the events that happened in Heroes are hinted to in a lot of the games taking place after it despite the fact that no one seems to mention Metal Sonic. The ways I explained above.

3- I don't think a lot of the seperate games did much to the grand storyline. It's canon because it's marketed as such. If it added absolutely nothing to the grand storyline but was considered a main series title then it's canon. I mean what did SA1 add in to not make it weakly canon? Knuckles' backstory, the E-series, and that's basically it (until Heroes where Metal Sonic mentions he's stolen Chaos data from Chocola choa.) And Sonic Unleashed, gave Sonic a collar from Chip and that was it. Sonic Next-gen contributed almost absolutely nothing due to it's story being erased.

If we considered every canon game to not be canon due to it having weak add ons to the grand storyline or none at all then we'd have very few canon games.
